ARTIST AS MUSE: SURREAL LIFE DRAWING w/ Elena Stonaker

Step into a self-guided, immersive creative experience designed for both artists and the artistically curious. This meditative session invites you into a lush, serene environment where observation, imagination, and intuition converge.

Artist Elena Stonaker creates a living vignette—an evocative world of sculptural forms and painted models—designed to spark inspiration and invite participants to co-create their own mythical narratives. Within this space, drawing becomes more than a practice; it becomes a powerful act of manifestation. Through simple marks and gestures, participants are encouraged to explore new ways of seeing and, in turn, new ways of being.

Drawing from life offers a rare opportunity to slow down and fully engage the senses. As you observe and interpret the human form, your perspective begins to shift—expanding awareness, deepening focus, and strengthening your connection to both subject and self. This experience is also a quiet celebration of the human body, honoring the intimate and reciprocal relationship between artist and muse.

No formal instruction, no pressure—just space to create, reflect, and immerse.

About the Artist

Elena Stonaker is a multi-media artist whose work spans interactive textile installations, painting, sculpture, design, video, and participatory experiences. Her practice explores the intersection of art and healing, creating surreal, feminine worlds rooted in archetypal visual language. Through softness, beauty, and comfort, she creates environments that feel safe for exploring both growth and discomfort.

Her work has been exhibited internationally, including at the Museum of New and Old Art in Tasmania, and in collaboration with Zapotec master ceramicist Adrian Martinez Alarcón and Rodrigo Trevi in Oaxaca.
